Stupid name, right? [Okay so glowing red eyes were on the scarier side of things, but he's not currently running for his life so he can make a little light of it.]

A Flash? I'm not sure what you mean. That's what you call speedsters here?

[Crys, don't reveal secret identities]

The Flash is a family friend. He's mentioned something about other Earths. Those other Earths also have someone that is called the Flash. He's the only speedster I know of. There's also Kid Flash that runs around sometimes.

[You mean Jay? Don't worry, he won't call you on it. Barry is far too busy inhaling the chili and cornbread in front of him to bother with being that rude.]

I've heard stories about other earths, multiverse and all that, but I've never heard of anything called a Flash or a kid version of it.

He's just the Flash here. I think he'd have his hands full if there were that many speedsters around.

[She waves her hand]

I'm the only one I know of back home.

[A facial shrug as she apologizes.] Hey, you're feeding me some pretty amazing food, I think we're good.

I'm still learning how to control them. They're kind of all over the place.

[There might be a teasing hint to his grin at her.] Yeah, I kinda figured that out when you tried to turn me into a popsicle.

[She sees that teasing grin and sticks her tongue out at him]

Are you really going to keep running to run away from him? Maybe he can be stopped. There's a lot of metas here that are on the side of good.

[Do not antagonize the overgrown puppy.
He may keep coming around.]

Yeah. I'm going to keep moving because I'm pretty attached to that whole breathing and existing thing. And I don't want anyone else getting hurt in the process.

[She might as mom if she can keep him]

What if they don't get hurt in the process?

[It hits her who he reminds her of]

You...wouldn't happen to be Barry Allen, would you?

[She might. Feed him enough and maybe pet him and he'll stick around. He's easily plied with simple things.]

I'm not as fast as he is. He's psychotic. I don't want anyone else to get hurt.

[Blink. He sits back a little.] How.. how did you know?

[She gets up when she sees the empty bowl and warms up the rest of the chili because there's some left over]

We have a family friend. You look like him, kind of, if he actually was cool.

[Here, have another bowl of chili]

What if there's a way to slow him down?

You mean with cold? [Because she'd hit him pretty hard with it and he was still clutching that blanket even as the chili warmed him up from the inside.]

It's dangerous.
He could kill someone.

Basic physics. Ice is the last thing a speedster would want to be around; it's being frictionless so you can't run as quickly.
