On occasion, but they do multiply. Ironically enough, they seem to be the ones who ask for help the most, and those who actually need it the most ask hardly at all.
Well, I salute you. [does so] You almost make me want to go be a better person. Except everyone I know is counting the days until I'm behind bars or pushing up daisies and I'd hate to disappoint them now.
Should I pray at all? To be fair, I lost any inkling of faith I had a very long time ago. I sometimes think the Universe and all its chaos is what drives us.
This is probably a bit personal. [It's a discussion about faith and prayer, Matt. Of course it's going to get personal.] Is it a matter of faith, or the lack of visible evidence that prayer works?
We all have our reasons. [Don't be. He doesn't take offense and a good discussion is always welcome in his books.] Some people choose to put their faith in other things, in their friends or the people around them, or in their actions every day. And some of us choose to see that as a manifestation of being a part of something bigger. Something better.
It does make for more time on Sunday mornings. I like to fill it with mimosas myself. With you, preferably.
[He's just saying. Could be a wild morning, if the quirk of his brow says anything. Why start out slow when going from 0 to 100 is, oh, infinite times more fun?]
That's dating. Don't date me. I'm not...more than a tiny bit that old. [Awkward admittance right here, moving on—] No, but you are right. Of course if I did everything I could handle I wouldn't be the fascinating and accomplished individual I am. Have I mentioned I have a medal.
[The smoothest man on the planet. Or maybe just messing around a bit, but in the interest of not being completely a jerk:]
Or we can talk about church. I haven't been in...ever. But they look nice. Churches.

We all deserve good to come of all our efforts.

Life is sometimes very complex, milady.
If I might say this, though, I still think you deserve good things.

I, at least, will keep you in my prayers.

I used to think it got me through the day. Then I realized that I got me through the day.

You find you get a lot out of helping people?

And you know, I've never really thought about it. Sometimes it's just a matter of doing the right thing and not really expecting anything in return.
World's ugly enough. Might as well put something good into it.

I don't really pray at all. To some it might make a difference. I don't think it's done me any favors, even if it was for others a very long time ago.

Even if you cannot see the signs, He is still listening. The fact that you pray for others over yourself means more then you may realize.

Among other things.]
I don't really do that anymore. If I do, it's an unconscious decision.

Charlotte smirks.] Pretty sure your Rolodex can't handle one more redhead.
Not that... y'know. Rolodex is a thing anymore.
