At this point, death is death-- shit, it's been inevitable from day-fucking-one. Now it's just more... devoted. Kinda admirable, if you think about it.
I've known one or two. [Or... most everyone he'd ever met. And that was before this whole insanity of walking corpses. He'd lived a very long time after all.]
I could certainly do with a bit less devotion. Makes it hard to give attention to much else.
Everyone dies. I'm not denying that. [Although he was trying to avoid it for himself for as long as possible. Being immortal certainly helped in that goal. But it wasn't assured.] But sometimes it happens far too soon and for no good reason. [But even a couple hundred years. A thousand. It wasn't long enough.]
