Planet Earth, North America, State of Maine, City of Haven, Haven Harbor, the deck of the Cape Rouge. Now, a better question... why are you on my boat?
[Jimmy pales, glancing around and confirming that yep, he's on a boat. One hand comes up to grasp the collar of his coat closed as he struggles to maintain some kind of composure.]
I... don't know. I think I got dumped here by... by...
[He glances towards the edge of the deck and goes a little paler at the sight of water]
[Oh, swell. Not only a stowaway, but a land-lubber, too. If he pukes on the deck, he's cleaning it up!]
Take it easy! [Duke holds up a hand.] I'm headed for land. Just hang on to your breakfast for another half hour or so and you'll be safe and sound and back on dry land.
[Jimmy trails off, wondering if the angel has been associated with anything illegal the Winchesters have done. Did the angel have enough sense to make sure he didn't ping on their radar too.
But on the other hand, God only knows how long it's been or if anything's left to go home to.]
That would probably be a good idea, yeah. Do you know what the date is? The.. full date, I mean.
[There's a small child playing outside on a house's front lawn, having a little tea party picnic sort of affair under a big umbrella with her rabbit doll, a half-folded blanket spread out under them. She peeks out from under the shade with a clear reddish liquid in a little pink plastic cup in her hand, and gives him a concerned look.]
Are you lost, mister?
[There doesn't seem to be anything threatening about her or the rabbit, but something's definitely off about them both, despite the girl's innocent look. Maybe they're not quite what they seem to be, but they don't seem to obviously be angels or demons as he'd know them.]
I.... I'm not entirely sure. [He looks up and down the street, and it looks normal enough. Modern suburbia in all its glory.]
Do you happen to know the name of this town? If you don't, it's fine. But if you do, it might help me become un-lost a little faster.
[Jimmy steps up onto the sidewalk, careful to avoid getting too close. Mostly to keep her mom happy, since she's bound to be checking out here and seeing who her little girl is talking to, but partly to stay out of grabbing range too. She's a little girl, but she's a very odd little girl, and there's no point in taking unnecessary risks.]
Yeah, it's Newcastle. [She tilts her head at him.] Did you go for a walk and get really lost? Momma says the streets can be confusing for people that aren't used to them, and you can get lost easy if you don't have a map....
That... [Jimmy makes a bit of a show at checking his pockets.] Would be exactly what happened, I think. I went for a walk and ended up a bit lost.
[That has zero relation to what actually happened, but he's not about to explain vessels, angels and the entire mess he left behind to a little girl. Or someone that looks enough like a little girl to start poking at the Dad reflexes.]
Do you know the way to the nearest store? Or does your mom?
[Shame, almost, that he doesn't realize how much he really has in common with who he's talking to.]
Umm.... I bet momma would. I'll go ask her!
[She carefully sets her little plastic cup down on the tray on the blanket and gets to her feet.]
I'll be right back.
[She carefully picks up her rabbit doll, carrying it against her shoulder like a baby, and heads back into the house. She exits again about three minutes later, now wearing what looks like her school backpack, and closes the door behind her. Rather than heading back to her little picnic blanket there on the front lawn, she goes to the gate. She opens it, then closes it behind her, and cheerfully heads toward where he's standing there on the sidewalk, bunny doll still her arms. It's coming along too.]
I know where it is now! Come on, I'll show you!
[Small child wants to lead him somewhere herself, and her mom's not trailing behind her or calling for her to come back. In fact, she hasn't been seen yet, or heard....]
[The lack of a parental figure has been noted, and is worrisome. Jimmy looks back towards the house, quietly hoping that some kind of parental figure will come out and stop their daughter from wandering off with a strange man to God knows where.
He turns back to the girl, concern starting to tip over into worry.]
Are you sure? That your mom said it was okay? You can just give me the directions if you'd prefer.
[Little girl shaped being or not, letting her walk off with a stranger is setting off all kinds of red flags.]
No... no, I'd like to get something from the store too. I have some money. [She's not addressing those other issues. Either she missed the point, or she's ignoring it.]
[Just gonna cheerfully head down the sidewalk, leading on] It's this way!
Layla. I'm Layla Summers. [She says it proudly, turning around to walk backwards for a few steps so she can give him a bow as she does. Girls her age tend to be into the princess stuff anyway; it doesn't seem out of place for her in that regard. Nor with that smile, all happy to do introductions. Whatever's off about her - and her doll, maybe - it isn't how she's acting. Still doesn't feel particularly angelic or demonic, though. Is it possible for those sorts of things to be neutral, in terms of what they are?
She turns back around again quickly enough though. That she was already a few steps ahead meant he wouldn't have had to slow down for her to do that, and she hurries a few steps ahead again to lead the way, plenty confident about the route to take.]
I'm going to get hazelnut syrup for momma's coffee and sparacus for dinner, so momma doesn't have to. What're you going to get? [She gives him an innocent smile, just making conversation]
It's very good to meet you, Layla. And thank you for your help. I'm hoping to get directions and a local map. Possibly with a taxi ride to top it off.
[Jimmy wasn't sure he could afford a taxi, but it'll be an acceptable write off if the cab can make it here and get him back out again.
He's definitely getting a sense of other off Layla. He's got no idea what she actually is, but she's not human by any stretch. And at this point,as long as she's not actively trying to eat him, Jimmy's not that worried about it.
Of course, Jimmy being forcefully reminded of his own daughter might let Layla soar past any concerns he might have had.]

[Probably Nathan's...]
[Nathan deserved it.]

That doesn't stop him from glancing from one edge of the boat to the other in an anxious shift.]
I.. No, I'm not going to be sick, probably. I just really don't like the water.
[Turns out, almost drowning at the bottom of a reservoir can turn someone into a born-again hydrophobe!]

....Where are you supposed to be?

Where is Mystic Falls?

Okay, so do you want me to take you to the sheriff? She might be able to help you figure it out.

Winchester. And Winchesters mean Castiel. Which means he needs to get gone.
Snared by the overriding impulse to be somewhere else, Jimmy starts to go backwards and get away from Sam.]

Well, alright then. Just... don't go wandering too far off. I wouldn't know where to go if we got separated.
And I don't believe we've been properly introduced. My name's Jimmy. Jimmy Novak. And your name is?
