That it does. It has something called a chameleon device installed, and you'd be surprised how people just see it as nothing more than another big ship just taking up space.
(ooc: It could be. Or he expected Moffat to go in that direction also. But his first and fourth seasons, RTD were absolute gold. :] Looks like we just have to dream for someone who's got the money to come up with such a service. )
[Will isn't fooled by the chameleon circuit, but seeing things that others don't is kind of his schtick.]
So, you think it'll be okay on its own for a little while?
(ooc: ah, well, who knows what goes on in the minds of creative people? The Shadow knows! ... ah, well, nerdy is the new cool, so one of these days there will be such a service)
Leave it to Jack to think of almost everything. And the fact it is the one asset that wasn't taken into command by UNIT for this very fact, and just happens to be missing from our logistics logs.
[ Gwen slyly says, as she looks up at the big red converted former container ship turned survey ship. The worlds 'Ice Maiden' are boldly written in white letters along the hull. And it looks exactly what an oceananic survey vessel ought to. ]
But if I can find myself with four walls, and a house on dry ground, you'd be a savior Will.
(ooc: Batman? Batman always knows. Now it just has to be someone with more money than Bezos.)
A safe, private house is no problem. Here in the UK, or would you prefer somewhere else that just has fast access to the UK?
(ooc: "The Shadow knows" is from a VERY old superhero franchise, that started as a radio play in the 1930s. The full line was "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"/"The Shadow knows!" #historylessonfortheday ;) but, yeah, it would probably have to be someone seriously rich. I wonder if we could convince Bill Gates it would be a public service? ;p ... okay, it's three minutes to midnight here in Ohio, so I'd better call it a night. I'll tag back tomorrow :) bye for now. it's been fun *hugs*)
[ Gwen thinks for a moment. ] Anywhere close to Cardiff or Swansea would be the best.
(ooc: Oh, I know where "The Shadow knows" comes from. :p I was just being a bit cheesy. I kinda lost track of time between doing tags and grinding GTA Online missions. Sleep good, enjoy work, and all that good stuff us adults get to do.)
{He thinks for a moment, then smiles.] I know a place five minutes out from Cardiff, if you're not claustrophobic.
(ooc: oh, ok :) I wasn't sure. So often I say things and get this look in response like "You are both old, and a dork" lol. I hope you had fun with your video games, I'm off today, but have SO much to do. I start a new job in a few weeks, so I'm both dealing with stuff from my current job, getting ready for my new job, and trying to do all the adulting that always needs to be done on days off. Good times, good times. On the upside, in a few hours, I am meeting with some friends for five or six hours of Pathfinder :D no better way to spend a Friday night)
Trust me, I spent months living in a tiny caravan with my husband and daughter. If it is a tiny flat in Splout, we'll make do. My husband will just be happy so long as he's got trucks to drive to keep him busy.
(ooc: I'm a geezer gamer, so heh, I'm part of that cool club. :p Trust me I am, a little digital crime can be good for the soul. And I sooooo hear you with work insanity, hense the week absence. Training stuff, implementing new stuff, and my schedule gone to shit and coming home smashed. Now go have fun and table top!)
Oh, it's not tiny at all. It's just, you know, underground. But it's still nice. Henry's created a great weather algorithm, and there's artificial sunlight, grass, trees...
As long as you can handle looking up and seeing rock, you'll be fine.
(ooc: yay for geezer gamers! although, in fairness, you're only as old as you act ;) yech, sounds like you're having a hell of a time *pets you* hopefully things settle down for you soon *hugs* heading off to tabletop soon, then back to work in the morning. good times, good times. I'm starting to feel like I should have quit outright when I got the new job offer, but that would have left my poor supervisor in one hell of a lurch.
But, for the rest of the night, I am not Kat, financial services associate and fanfic writer. I am Komaru, the kitsune rogue with a +37 to my disarm device rolls and a +23 to diplomacy. Also my sneak attacks do bleeding damage because, while I may try to avoid combat, you still do not want to get into it with me.
I will tag back either late tonight or early tomorrow. Have a good night and I will see you soon :) *hugs* bye for now)
ooc: Fin? But I'll be around and if you'd like to do some type of PSL, I'd be more than game or GPSL. I got a PSL with Gwen and a Kingsman player already, I'm going to shoot them a PM. If not we can just PSL it.
ooh, okay. I figured the G was for group, but couldn't for the life of me figure out the other initials. I swear, my brain instantly went "PLS? Like the rifles?" lol. Because I am a dork that way. But, yeah, I'm totally up for that. on LJ, years and years ago when I last RPed, we just called them "verses" and assumed that any threads that happened in the same verse had the same continuity.
But Will will be very happy to help out Gwen and company in any way possible, and I never say no to adventures, whether individually, or in groups. I don't know much about the Kingsman fandom, but I never say no to making new friends for myself and my pups (unless the other character is a crazed cannibal, or the mun is particularly unstable, but we won't get into the nuts that sometimes live on the internet. I'm a bit of a nut myself, lol. It takes a lot to scare me off). So, if you and your friend would like a shared verse, I would certainly be receptive to trying :)
ooc: I remember verses very well. But I always worry about those getting people upset. :p As for the person I'm playing with, I haven't heard from them but still I'd be happy for a easy verse or something with continuity. And don't worry about surprise cannibals in my list. I'm pretty sane at least I like to think I am. :)
Damn, do you play ALL those? I think my head would explode. I have enough trouble keeping track of my three (full disclosure, I'm also Doctor_JD_Watson from Sanctuary and honour_among_thieves who is an original based on my current pathfinder character, so we already have another thread going, it looks like).
I like continuity :) we should definitely do more following from our first thread, whenever you have the time.
Don't worry about sporadic tagging. Work and RL sometimes knock me on my ass, too, and I don't manage to tag for a day or two. But I do my best to never be one of those people who just drops a thread
Heck no! Those were just people I've played at some point. :) Martha is me, and we can build on it. A little supernatural twist with some aliens is more than fine with me. :)
I was going to say, lol... That would be an ambitious current muse list, lol :D
Komaru is a fun character, and definitely a bit more supernatural than many RPG characters I've played. He was caught at ground zero of a powerful magical ritual to contact the other side and now he's both a little messed up and a little empowered, lol
I should cobble together a current list, but it changes too often. I'll take someone from that list, think I'll play them and end up not feeling them. :)
Hey nothing wrong with having different sorts of characters to pick from. It keeps things from getting stale. :)

It was a good game :) Komaru had fun. and nearly died, but did a good deed while nearly dying, so he's happy, lol

Group Personal Story Line = GPSL.
Either way I'm cool to keeping stuff to sws. :) But glad to hear you enjoyed your game.
