I don't actually hate my dad?

That seems like good news. Are you surprised?

All my siblings hate our dad. Except the youngest... I don't quite understand why... Sure he had a drinking problem but he was never mean to me.

Different people can have different responses, especially if there is an age difference. Do you think your siblings will have a problem with you liking your dad?

I don't know... I feel like I'm caught in the crossfire.

I got five siblings. Sure I can talk with them. But some of them really don't wanna talk about it. Even though we're close. Dad on the other hand... I think he's apologetic and genuine. But I can't trust him.

That does sound like you are in the middle of things. That can't be comfortable. And not being able to trust your father can't be comfortable either.

I'm one of the older siblings actually. But I haven't been in contact with the others for a decade. I joined the army after school.

Do you want to be in contact?

Of course I wanted to. I just couldn't. I was a POW, or at least that's what I've been told. I don't remember things very well... head trauma.
