"Lucky for you that one's not actually on ice yet, just enjoying an early retirement now that she grew up, wised up and has been keeping up with the times." She just as frequently used 'keeping up with the Joneses' it all just depended on her mood.

"Last I checked it was a working retirement, though, depending on the project. She still gets bored as easily as she ever did." That part was definitely true, she didn't have it in her to accept a life of leisure, even one she'd made for herself.

"Only the old and outdated retire. The one I'm looking for would never let that happen." He sneered into the line, evident in his tone of voice.

"There's a job opportunity for someone with their finger on the pulse. Only the truly worthy will do. The most devout to her craft. Know anyone interested in something a little less boring? An assignment straight from The Man himself?"

She straightened a little, drawing back in her seat, "Well now you've got my attention, and I'd be doing us both a disservice if I kept pretending not to be exactly who you're looking for."

There had always been rumors, where to look, who to ask, even rumors of people who'd gone missing on jobs that were spoken about in the reverent tones of high holy missions. Of course, government dark ops were a common theme, but not one she subscribed to herself, even those left traces somewhere.
