[ Pandora doesn't give any indication of alarm. No increased blood flow, no adrenaline-cortisol smell. This isn't brave. This is broken. She takes a sip of her soda, eyeing the claws. ] Okay but you're gonna have a harder time with the snack machine.
[ Snack machine? He doesn't get the difference. In any case, X-24 turns away when he realises the girl isn't a threat.
Not quite understanding the mechanics of bottle opening, he pokes at the cap with a single claw, pushing it in to cut the plastic.
The claw is too big, though, and the whole bottle falls apart, and X-24 gets angry enough to throw the remains far away in a beautiful, reaching arc. ]
[ She's not about to fight him for half a can of soda. Those claws are already too close to her in the act of grabbing and she is very, very still. ] You could have asked.
[ Fortunately, successfully getting the can has his claws sinking back into his fists. X-24 sniffs at the opening before drinking, the fizz hardly bothersome when the things the whitecoats made him drink were always so much worse.
He doesn't like how sweet it is, but he finishes the whole thing. Weird enough, though, it leaves him wanting more, rather than having him satisfied the way water does.
He crushes the can and drops it.
Then looks up at the girl with narrowed eyes in a silent demand for another one like it. ]
[She makes the mistake of thinking he's her dad at first. And maybe in some really messed up way, he's like her dad. But he isn't Logan anymore than she is. She stands back and watches him stab at a vending machine and rolls her eyes. Amateur.]
No.
[He's doing it all wrong, and that makes her mad. She glares at him as she stomps up and kicks at the coin return area as hard as she can. She dents in the machine, but a cluster of quarters come pouring out and she takes four of them. They're deposited into the machine and she presses the buttons to get what she wants. Impatient as the poor dented and broken machine struggles to drop the bag of chips, she screams and hits at the glass. So much for trying to do the right thing! ]
[Here's Elektra Natchios drinking a coca-cola from that same vending machine, watching with interest. The man has metal claws. How can she not be the least bit interested?? She's just crazy enough to actually speak to him following that.]
Having a problem with the machine? [She asks it so casually one might actually think this is normal for her. She follows it up by sipping her drink loudly.]
[ Yes, he is. But he doesn't like that sip, doesn't like the look on her face like she's in charge -- his nostrils flare, and those unnatural eyes narrow in distaste.
He punches the machine again for good measure, and the metal creaks and sparks under his claws. X-24 has problems with the machine. But he has problems with this woman, too. ]
[She pissed him off by being her. Must be Tuesday. Elektra continues enjoying her drink from her spot over here.] Is that your way of asking me to share? It could use some work, but I'm not unwilling.

I don't think you're supposed to do that.

The one buried in the machine is wrapped firmly around a water bottle. He growls, nostrils flaring, and pulls the bottle out. ]

His eyes go to her can instead. That's something to drink.
Without a word, he makes to grab it. ]

[ She might be mildly offended, though. ]

Not bothering to pick up her chips bag, he smashes a bigger hole into the glass beside her smaller one to retrieve a chocolate bar.
Sniffing it inevitably has him dropping the thing. He'd thought it was one of those protein nutrition bars that Rice used to feed him.
In the end, X-24 kicks the machine because it has the gall not to have what he wants. ]
