Well, it was for a good cause, and I'm pleased with how it turned out, but you're right. The burns are not fun. In fact, they're quite painful. Are you a healer? I'd be grateful if you could take a look, but I can't pay you...
[ Martha looks at Komaru with a warm smile on her face, as she reaches over for her black leather handbag. She shuffles her belongings around, and inside the big bag she pulls out her first aid kit. ]
You could say I'm a healer. But with creams and ointments, and not magic spells. But how did you get these burns in the first place. [ Martha begins to dig through her first aid kit to find her trusty aloe bottle. ]
[Komaru was secretive about the ghosts at first but, lately, he's come to realize that there's no need to be. People either believe him when he speaks of them, or they don't. Neither does him any harm, and honesty is generally easier than prevarication.]
I've been covered in ectoplasm before, and it's not so bad. A pain to get out of your hair and any nooks and crannies it happens to end up in, but really not that terrible.
[He shrugs, biting his lip.]
She died in a fire, so fire became a part of who she was. She's been burning for centuries now. I relieved her of that burden. And...
[He gestures down at the burns on his arms, chest, and stomach, shrugging. The wounds smell fairly fresh and look like, not too long ago, they might have been life-threatening.]
[ Martha listens to him while she examines his wounds, the fact it looks like they're healing has her feeling like her little bottle of aloe won't be of much help. And this is one of those times when she feels like she can use The Doctor.
Looking up from the wounds on Kumaru with a raised eyebrow. ]
I just was thinking Ghostbusters. And I've never been covered by ectoplasm before. But, but, but those wounds of yours look and smell fresh. But from what I can see, they're healing. And I never seen wounds heal like this before.
[ Martha looks at her bottle of aloe, and she goes to apply it to some of the burns. ]
And some of them look bad; I'm talking hospital level bad and not my little bottle of aloe.
They're not fresh. I got them last night. They're just healing slow because... "something, something, something, magic." I didn't quite comprehend the details. Academics really isn't in my skillset. But some aloe might help with the discomfort.
[He says "discomfort," but kinda means "agony." They really are pretty nasty burns, and he isn't used to damage that he can't just sleep off, especially not since touching the other side. He's a resilient man now, but this just hurts.]
Something, something, what exactly are you if they're still healing and from your words, magic.
[ Martha digs in her kit for a pair of surgical gloves, and she goes to clean up the burns. She tilts her head to the side, this guy is definately not human, and perhaps the 'ghost' that burnt him was really alien. Or maybe it really was a ghost. ]
It's a place where people go to get healed. But in your case, I don't think that would be a good idea. The healers there would panic if they heard how you got those burns. [ Martha seems completely at ease as she applies the aloe to the burns on his arms. ]

A ghost? I would think a ghost would cover you in slime... erm...ectoplasma.

What's a hospital? Some kind of healing magic?

[He clears his throat and watches her work, glad for a slight shift in the subject of conversation.]
Thank you, it feels a little better already.
