I guess... I was just thinking out loud. [She shrugs, crossing her arms, furrowing her brows in thought.] I have friends back home who... didn't grow up in the best of places. And their parents...

Well, they're not exactly what you call good people. [She's choosing her words, trying to be diplomatic. But how can you really describe Maleficent, Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil, and Jafar without using the word, well, "evil"?]
My friends went through a lot and the more I hear what their lives were like before they came to my school, the more I think of, well, [She gestures with her hands.] what I said earlier. And there are more kids like them who didn't get a chance to get out like they did.
