I appear to be in good company, at the very least. It's not often I meet another person with a title like mine.

We should start some kind of dynasty. Other Nobles of Horrible Luck and Questionable Judgment can join us for a grand alliance...

Until it all falls apart when the Bad Luck section of the court brings it down on the rest of us.

[ It's not very nice to tease someone you've only just met, but when your unofficial title is The Queen of Bad Timing and Decisions, it's hard not to find dark humor in conversations about said title. ]

We might need a few good luck charms to counteract some of the troubles we're likely to have.

[Will never minds a little friendly teasing. He's most at ease when people are being casual with him.]

Maybe we'll have so much bad luck that it'll circle around all the way and become good luck?

Try not phrasing it like that? It sounds a little presumptuous to make such a claim when you've only just met someone, after all.

Doesn't mean you have to say it in such a way to cause your friends to worry after you. That only ever leads to more trouble than it's often worth.

You could try saying that you found a place you feel comfortable being yourself. It's a small distinction, but a very important one.

Oh, I'm perfectly comfortable being myself at the Sanctuary. I just don't fit in very well...

Fitting in and being comfortable are two very different things. You don't need one to have the other. It's more a question of if you want to have both.

Love is a necessary part of any home, whether it's platonic or familial doesn't matter. So long as there's that connection, a place can be home.

When I was younger, I half-believed the concept of 'home' to be a myth. I was happy to learn better.
